Hyundai Venue prices hiked for select variants: Here’s by how much
Hyundai Motor India has increased the prices of select Venue variants, with diesel models seeing the largest increases. The hike ranges from Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 20,000, depending on the variant. The revision is limited to specific trims rather than the entire lineup. Petrol variants witness minimal changes, as mentioned before, the diesel versions account for most of the increase, raising prices for entry- and mid-level options.
Talking about the variants, the Venue petrol trims are offered in HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX8, and HX10, while the diesel variants will be offered as HX2, HX5, HX5 Plus, HX7, and HX10. The Venue is offered in three engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel engine with 116 hp, 250 nm torque and comes paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. There's also a 6-speed manual gearbox offered. Apart from diesel, other variants of the Venue are also offered with a 1.2-litre, NA petrol engine with 88 hp, 114 nm torque and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 120 hp and 172 nm. Gearbox options include a manual or a 7-speed DCT. The Venue N-Line is offered only with a single engine option - a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
Starting with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine option. The HX5 trim takes the biggest hike, which now costs Rs 20,000 more than before - the steepest increase across the entire range. Do note that this hike doesn’t extend to the rest of the line-up with the same engine. The entry-level HX2 and the slightly higher HX6T continue at their existing prices.
Moving up to the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol versions. The HX5 DCT and HX6 DCT variants have become Rs 9,000 pricier, while the top-spec HX8 DCT sees a smaller Rs 5,000 bump. The prices of the sportier N Line models remain unchanged. Among diesel variants, prices of the HX2, HX5, HX5 AT and HX7 have risen by Rs 8,000. The HX8 and HX10 diesel automatic variants continue at existing prices.
In terms of features, the top-spec Venue gets dual 12.3-inch displays (for the cluster and infotainment), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, wireless charging, and a single-pane sunroof. On the safety front, equipment such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and Level 2 ADAS.
