Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has introduced mid-life facelifts for two of its cars, i.e. Grand i10 Nios compact hatchback, and its sedan version Aura. Both cars have received cosmetic upgrades for the 2023 model year, and Hyundai has started taking bookings for them for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Here's everything you need to know about the two new cars -
Grand i10 Nios faceliftTalking about the Grand i10 Nios facelift first, it gets a new front bumper with a redesigned grille design.
The boomerang-shaped LED DRLs that were offered on the pre-facelift version have now been replaced with new Y-shaped units instead. The front fog lamps have been removed. Moving to the sides, the car gets new alloy wheels, while the rest of the side profile is unchanged.
At the rear, the Grand i10 Nios facelift gets new tail lights along with a redesigned tailgate. The tail lamps are now joined together with a light bar that runs across the width. The rear camera is now positioned above the Hyundai emblem, and the 'NIOS' badging is now more prominent than before.
Inside the cabin, the overall layout remains the same, albeit with new features and grey seat upholstery. The new features on offer with the Grand i10 Nios facelift include automatic headlamps, Type-C USB charging ports, cruise control as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system. On the safety front, the hatch now gets 6 airbags, a driver rear view monitor, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors and so on.

Aura faceliftThe changes on the Aura facelift are slightly less dramatic. The car now gets a new front fascia with a completely redesigned front bumper, a larger grille and new inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. The Hyundai logo is now placed in a separate portion between the radiator grille and the bonnet. Apart from that, no other changes have been made to the Aura on the outside.
New features on offer with the Aura include Type-C charging ports, a new 3.5-inch digital display in the instrument cluster, up to 6 airbags, ESC and Vehicle Stability Management. It also gets automatic headlamps, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, automatic climate control and a wireless charger.
No changes have been made to the powertrains of the two cars. They come equipped with a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that makes 83 PS of max power and 114 Nm of peak torque. The engine can be had with either a 5-speed MT or an optional AMT. The 1.0-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine that was offered with the pre-facelift Grand i10 Nios and Aura is currently not available, but you do have the option of a factory-fit CNG kit.
