BMW X6 M60i coupe bookings begin: V8 power, AWD & more
BMW India has started accepting Pre-bookings for the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive coupe SUV. The model is re-entering the Indian market after it was phased out in January 2023. Interested customers can pre-book the vehicle online or at their nearest BMW dealerships. The launch is expected in the coming months. It will be brought into India via the CBU route and is expected to be priced over 1.3 crores (ex-showroom). When launched, it will rival the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe and the Porsche Cayenne Coupe in the Indian market.
Talking about the powertrain, the new BMW X6 will be powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which puts out 523hp and 750Nm of torque. It gets 48V mild hybrid tech and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels. The coupe can sprint from 0-100 in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kph.
In terms of design, the new BMW X6 M60i gets updated styling while retaining its coupe-SUV shape. The front end now features a revised illuminated kidney grille, slimmer adaptive LED headlamps with new daytime running light signatures, and a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes and gloss black inserts. The profile continues with the sloping roofline that defines the X6, along with new alloy wheel designs and M-specific exterior elements. Sculpted body panels and a pronounced shoulder line maintain the SUV’s muscular stance.
At the rear, BMW has revised the LED tail-lamp graphics and updated the bumper with larger exhaust surrounds and a diffuser-inspired design. The overall styling continues to combine luxury SUV proportions with a performance-focused look.
Moving inside, the BMW X6 M60i comes with a dual-tone cabin and a layered dashboard design featuring BMW’s curved display setup, which integrates a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, heating and memory functions, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The SUV also gets an advanced driver assistance system suite, while the India-spec model is expected to offer a similar equipment list.
