Hero Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 motorcycle launched: Price, updates
Hero MotoCorp today announced the launch of Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 motorcycle in the Indian market. The bike features small design tweaks along with feature updates and is priced at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom). It’s offered in five colour options - Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue, and Matt Chestnut Brown. Interested customers can now purchase the new variant at Hero MotoCorp showrooms across the country.
Visually, the motorcycle gets revised dual-tone graphics, fresh colour schemes, XTEC 2.0 badging, rim tapes and a stitched dual-texture seat. A 3D emblem has also been added as part of the styling updates.
The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 124.7cc single-cylinder engine producing 10.7hp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. While the mechanical package remains unchanged, Hero now claims a mileage figure of 72kpl, compared to the 68kpl claimed for the previous Super Splendor XTEC. The company attributes the increase to technologies such as the Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (APFI) system and the i3S idle stop-start setup. The bike also retains the Integrated Starter Generator, which is aimed at delivering quieter starts and smoother restarts in traffic.
Feature highlights include a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering call and SMS alerts, caller ID, phone battery status, real-time mileage display and low-fuel indication. A USB Type-C charging port is also part of the package and the main addition to the feature list is hazard lights, which are now offered on the Super Splendor range. Other safety-related equipment includes a front disc brake and a handlebar-mounted engine kill switch.
Speaking at the launch, Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer, India Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp said, “Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor has built a strong legacy of delivering trust, performance and everyday reliability to millions of customers for over three decades. The new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 carries this promise forward with a bold and contemporary design, advanced technology and enhanced convenience features. With its trusted performance & reliability, everyday practicality and an elevated riding experience, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 further strengthens Hero MotoCorp’s leadership in the segment while reaffirming its commitment to delivering superior value to its customers.”
