Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the Kawasaki Eliminator in the Indian market. The Eliminator was showcased globally in June 2023. The cruiser gets the same 451cc parallel-twin engine derived from the Ninja Z400 and is priced at Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The Eliminator will be available in a single colour option - Metallic Flat Spark Black and the deliveries are set to begin by the end of January 2024.

The Eliminator is powered by a 399 cc parallel-twin unit which is modified to achieve a 451 cc displacement by increasing the stroke length by 6.8mm. The engine puts out 44 bhp at 9000 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. It comes paired with a 6-speed transmission and an assist-and-slipper clutch.


The bike is based on a new lightweight trellis frame and it gets a 41-mm telescopic fork at the front and a twin-shock setup at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by a 310-mm semi-floating disc at the front and a 220-mm disc at the rear. The bike gets 18-inch front wheels with 130/7 section tyres and 16-inch rear 10-spoke alloy wheels with 150/80 section tyres.



In terms of features, the bike gets a circular LCD instrument cluster which puts out various information such as a tachometer, fuel gauge, coolant temperature, maintenance reminder, gear position indicator, clock, odometer, two trip metres, range and much more. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity through the Rideology app for calls and notifications. Safety features include dual-channel ABS, slip-and-assist clutch, and Kawasaki’s ergo-fit technology, allowing riders to customise seat height and footpeg placement.

The cruiser prioritises riding comfort it adopts a classic cruiser silhouette, drawing design inspiration from the Vulcan 650. It gets a round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a megaphone exhaust. It gets a one-piece handlebar and neutral footpeg position.
