This temple in South India is said to reverse bad karma; know how

The legend

Agni Theertham (22 sacred wells)

So there are 22 sacred ponds or wells where pilgrims traditionally take a dip before entering the temple complex. Bathe at all 22 ponds is a part of ritual which is located inside the corridors. This sequenced bath well is believed equivalent to performing long years of penance. and able to wash away accumulated sins or the core mechanism by which “karma reversal” is understood here.

How is it performed

First devotees need to take a dip in Agni Theertham (the sea) to begin the purification process.

Enter the temple, there will be a line of long inner corridors. Stop to bathe in certain theerthams (those with reputations for specific benefits).

Offer prayers and perform an abhisheka (libation) to the lingam. Some traditions even bring Ganga water from Varanasi to combine the sanctity of both holy places.
