#LocalWaliDiwali: Head to Lajpat Nagar for your Diwali shopping
As part our #LocalWaliDiwali series, we take you to Lajpat Nagar, where local vendors are still waiting for the usual rush of the market ahead of Diwali. The Central Market in Lajpat Nagar has many vendors who are selling rangoli colours, earthen diyas, Diwali décor for the festival. But they share that though people are visiting the market, only a few are buying from them. With only a day left for the festival of lights, the vendors urge people to make a trip to the market to buy from them.

Sagar Kumar Gupta, a 24-year-old rangoli seller from the market, shares, “People are coming to the market but they are not buying from us. I request people to come and shop from us. We also wish to celebrate the festival with our family members, please come and shop from us.”

It is not just Ram Niwas and Sagar Kumar Gupta, who are facing the crisis, but almost all local vendors are struggling and urging people to shop from them ahead of the festival.
