'It's mixed tidings for AP'

Astrologers have predicted mixed fortunes for the state in
2006.
According to them, the one section one can look forward is the student community. More students from AP are expected to land up in professional colleges like IITs, IIMs, AIEEE, AIIMS, JIPMER and BITS in 2006.
Performance of the students from here in engineering entrance examinations will be particularly good.
They will also perform well in Civil Services examinations and CAT, says Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam temple astrologer Tangirala Prabhakara Purnaiah Siddanthi.

According to Srisailam temple astrologer Pandit Butte Veerabhadra Daivajna, crime rate in the state is unlikely to escalate. But the movement for a separate state for Telangana will gain momentum this year.
"There is a significant possibility of the Telangana movement turning violent in 2006. Students in large numbers, particularly engineering students, might veer towards the movement," he said.
The state will not be bifurcated this year, but the chances of Telangana people getting a separate state are bright either in 2007 or 2008, he said.

For Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, 2006 seems to be not that good as his government will be mired in corruption charges. Besides, the UPA government will face a no-confidence motion in October or November, he said.
"Reddy will strengthen his position, but he will be unhappy with the pace of irrigation works. He has to be vigilant about his health as well," Daivajna said.
