Parvathy Thiruvothu criticizes young Malayalam actors; Calls them 'Worse than older generation'
Mollywood actor Parvathy Thiruvothu is known for expressing her strong criticisms wherever she feels when things are not going right. Now the ‘Thangalaan’ actress has criticized the young Malayalam actor by calling them worse than the older generation.

Parvathy Thiruvothu feels the younger generation in Mollywood is a little 'worse' than the older generation; says their 'laziness' bothers her

Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu recently engaged in an insightful conversation with acclaimed author Arundhati Roy at the Wayanad Literature Festival. The actress took to her social media platforms to share glimpses of the significant moments. During their discussion, Roy posed a thought-provoking question about the involvement of young male actors in addressing industry issues, including the findings of the Hema Committee report, which exposed incidents of harassment against women.

Talking with the veteran writer Arundhati Roy at the Wayanad Literature Festival, Parvathy Thiruvothu said that the attitude of the current generation of actors is quite bothering. According to Parvathy, while the older generation was influenced by the patriarchal system and misogyny, the younger generation of actors is frustrated due to some other reasons.
Parvathy Thiruvothu said that the younger generation can see clearly what is happening all around them and some people among them in the industry are frustrated as they are not receiving the same benefits that are enjoyed by the older generation. Although the Malayalam film industry is witnessing a drastic change with several superhit content-oriented movies, Parvathy says that several high-budget movies glorify hyper-masculinity and misogyny.

“These movies are made to bring back the concept of alpha males and outdated notions about women,” said Parvathy Thiruvothu. She further said that she watched a recent movie and was worried on the fact that she would have to work with these people again in future projects. “But now, such thoughts are not troubling me, “ said Parvathy.

Meanwhile, Parvathy recently shared an Instagram post that read, “‘For the Lovers, For the Haters’ Avec Arundhati Roy for @wlfwayanad "So, at the end of it all, is fascism a kind of feeling, in the way anger, fear or love are feelings, that manifests itself in recognizable ways across cultures? Does a country fall into fascism the way a person falls in love? Or, more accurately, in hate? Has India fallen in hate? Because truly, the most palpable feeling in the air is the barbaric hatred the current regime and its supporters show toward a section of the population. Equally palpable now is the love that has risen to oppose this. You can see it in people's eyes, hear it in protestors' song & speech. It's a battle of those who know how to think against those who know how to hate. A battle of lovers against haters. It's an unequal battle, because the love is on the street and vulnerable. The hate is on the street, too, but it is armed to the teeth, and protected by all the machinery of the state." - Arundhati Roy.”
