Macklemore is an American rapper born as Ben Haggerty, who released his major singles in collaborated with producer Ryan Lewis. Macklemore and Lewis's single 'Thrift Shop' topped on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2013. Since 1994, it was the first time that a song reached number 1 on the Hot 100 chart without the support of a major record label. Second single 'Can't Hold Us' also peaked at #1 of the Hot 100 Chart. Macklemore and Lewis became the first duo to have their first two singles both reach number 1 in the chart's history.

Musgraves has been nominated for a total of four Grammy Awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, which inlcude Best New Artist, Best Country Album (Same Trailer Different Park), and Best Country Song for both "Mama's Broken Heart" and "Merry Go Round".
