Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and union territories, with leads still consolidating in several assemblies. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat house, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just three short of the majority mark, with 10 seats won and 105 leads. SPA sits at a tally of 60, having won 7 and leading in 53, while NDA holds a tally of 55 with 55 leads and no seats won yet. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat assembly on current tallies, leading in 168 seats and having won 11 for a tally of 179. TMC is trailing with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leads, while candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat house, with 13 seats won and 5 leads giving a tally of 18. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry, with 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, UDF leads the 140-seat assembly count with a tally of 87, having won 68 and leading in 19, crossing the majority mark of 71 on current figures. LDF trails with a tally of 36, comprising 30 won and 6 leading, while candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
