Actor Amrita Arora is back in news. With two back to back releases, life's certainly looking good for the petite actress after her rumoured break-up with long time beau London based Pakistani cricketer Usman Afzal. Hello has released, which is doing very well at the box-office. Another Rohit Shetty film, which is an out an out comedy, is about to be released.
Im looking forward to it too.
Amrita has another reason to be on a high and thats because shes just finished shooting with none other than Hollywood hunk Sylvester Stallone for the film Kambakkht Ishq. Touch upon the topic and Amrita gushes: Sly Stallone is so humble and grounded. He was very intrigued by Bollywood. He was so eager to know about how our stars work. It was a pleasure working with him. And he said that it was as if he was always meant to do a Bollywood film.
Getting back to her professional life, we cant but ask her as to why she has done most of her films with friends and family members? She takes off: It so happened that the people I have worked with have gone on to become my friends. Plus, when I have the biggest stars in my family, I dont think I need to look elsewhere for work, says she.
Amritas friendship with Kareena Kapoor is the talk of the industry. We ask Amrita about her friends obsession with size zero. Does she believe in it? I dont understand this whole concept of size zero, says she sounding piqued. Bebo and I are both healthy people and believe in eating healthy and remaining fit. And I dont see anything wrong in flaunting the hard work we have put in our bodies.
Apart from Kareena, it is Amritas sister Malaika Arora Khan who draws more media attention than the kid sister. When asked whether Amrita ever feels overshadowed by her sisters personality, she replies, I applaud Malaikas popularity. I take pride in having her as my sister. She has worked very hard to reach where she is today and I admire that.
More than her films, it is Amritas love life which is talked about in the media. Mention that to her and the irritation is reflected in her otherwise supercilious demeanour. I have never really gone out and talked about my personal life. Its the media which has chosen to give it more credence than my professional achievements, says the actress.
We ask her to describe herself to us: I am the happy-go-lucky, cherubic kinds. I am not fake. I project myself in all honesty. And I am not easily swayed by change.
And just how does she plan celebrating Diwali this time? Diwali is a family festival and like every year, I will be celebrating Diwali with my family bursting crackers, and having fun.
